The No.1 way to bless your children!
Posted on: November 8, 2016
The number one way to blessing children uses your tongue. Lay hands and speak the word of God over your child. The Lord bless and keep you.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord Make His face shine upon you
And be gracious unto you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.
So they shall put my name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them ” Numbers 6:24-27
The Lord is saying when we bless our children with this blessing He shall put His name on them, and He will bless them.
As Jack hay ford says this is the “Fountainhead blessing“. The Jews know the power in laying on of hands and speaking this Blessing.
We too can speak these blessings upon our children.
This blessing is transmitted to every successful generation for use right down to the present moment, as we speak it with boldness.

I personally speak this blessing over my child every morning before he walks out of the door.
It is never too late to start. Start today, start now.
The Priestly blessing defined.
The Lord bless you and keep you.
To bless is to supernaturally empower someone for success and prosperity.
To keep is to provide and care, to guard and protect from harm.
The Lord make His face shine over you,
To make His face shine denotes ‘looking toward us in mercy.’ It indicates God’s smile of favour on His people.
His face also means His ‘Love and Glory shining like the sun’ arising upon us with healing. (Malachi 4:2)
and be gracious unto us.
To be gracious means ‘to favour,’ ‘to show kindnesses’ and ‘to be compassionate.’ All these blessings being unmerited.
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you;
Lifts up His countenance suggests Gods recognition, approval and affection.
and give you peace.
Peace is wholeness- nothing missing, nothing broken, nothing lacking and nothing wanting.
Did you know you are a priest of God in revelation 1:5,6 and you have the right and power to lay hands on and bless your children.
Instead of raising our hands on our children let’s learn to lay our hands on them and speak out the wonderful blessings of God on them.
Are there any particular blessings you speak over your child everyday?
Are you using your tongue to Bless your child?
If you desire “The Priestly Blessing” today, you must be in Christ; for that is how God is blessing His people today! ( Ephesians 1:3)
Are you in Christ Jesus? How does one get “into” Christ, where they can receive the blessings He offers?
How can you know Jesus?
Romans 10:9 says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
You must believe that Jesus is Lord and that He has risen from the dead. The reason He died was to pay for your sin (1 peter 2:24)
For the bible states ‘all have sinned’.( Romans 3:23)
We all need a Saviour.
When you trust in Jesus Christ’ sacrifice for you, you are saved.
John 3:16 says that you have been given eternal life: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
This life includes eternity with Christ in heaven and is available to you now and to anyone who believes in Christ.
Is there anything else you have to do to know Jesus?
Ephesians 2:9 explains, “For by grace you have been saved through faith.
And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Knowing Jesus is not based on what we do; knowing Jesus is based on faith in Him.
Romans 5:8 teaches, “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
This great love brought Jesus from heaven to earth to live, die, and return to life to provide salvation for us.
There is no special prayer you must pray to know Jesus and believe in Him.
However, the following prayer can be used to right now to express your decision to place your faith in Jesus Christ:
“Dear God, I realize I am a sinner and could never reach heaven by my own good deeds.
Right now I place my faith in Jesus Christ as God’s Son who rose from the dead to give me eternal life.
Please forgive me of my sins and help me to live for you.
Thank you for accepting me and giving me eternal life.”
If you said this prayer and have any questions, you could get in touch with me and expect a quick reply by me personally.
Declare the word of God with me:
My child is an inheritance from God. Psalm 127:3
My child is a blessing from God.
My child will walk in the light all the day of his/her life.
Pray with me:
Lord, let the words of my mouth be acceptable in your sight. Give me patience with my child, and help me see them as blessings and not interruptions in Jesus name. Amen.
